This Road Department is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all Union County roads.

Various types of road surfaces can be found in the county:
Gravel

Surface Treated (tar and gravel)

Asphalt Pavement

 

Contact the Right of Way Specialist who will assist you with the proper procedures to petition to have your road deeded to the county for maintenance.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a CALLED MEETING of the Union County Commission on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. located at 65 Courthouse Street, Blairsville, Georgia in Courtroom A.

The purpose of this meeting will be to accept a Notice of Award and a Contract with Square Deal Enterprises, Inc. for the installation of the temporary crossing and the permanent bridge on Fisher Field Road and to adopt Resolution R-2024-09 accepting a Mutual Agreement and Understanding between Union County and Lumpkin County to resolve the boundary of the Union and Lumpkin County line in relation to the 16th District.

No other business will be conducted.
