Various types of road surfaces can be found in the county:
Gravel

Surface Treated (tar and gravel)

Asphalt Pavement

 

Contact the Right of Way Specialist who will assist you with the proper procedures to petition to have your road deeded to the county for maintenance.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 5:00pm in the Union County Courthouse, 65 Courthouse Street, Blairsville, Georgia. MEETING AGENDA.

The purpose of this hearing will be for Union County to provide information and answer questions regarding the proposed revisions to the following Union County Code of Ordinances:

1. Chapter 60, Short-term Rentals
2. Chapter 10, Article III, Alcoholic Beverages
3. Chapter 18, Article IV, Div.2, Section 18-105

Copies of the proposed revisions are available on the Union County website at www.unioncountyga.gov, in the Union County Commissioner’s Office, and the Union County Clerk of Court’s Office.
