Superior Court

Superior Court conducts hearings and trials, both jury and non-jury, in civil and criminal cases

Clerk of Superior Court
Clerk of the Superior Court  is responsible for all the civil and criminal affairs and filings made in the Union County Superior Court, provides the jury pool for Grand Jury and civil and criminal trial, and serves as the official recorder of real-estate documents for the County

Magistrate Court
Magistrate Court processes various criminal and civil matters and small claims up to $15,000

Probate Court
Georgia Probate Courts exercise exclusive, original jurisdiction in the probate of wills, administration of estates, appointment of guardians (minor and adult) and involuntary hospitalization of incapacitated adults and other individuals

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 5:00pm in the Union County Courthouse, 65 Courthouse Street, Blairsville, Georgia. MEETING AGENDA.

The purpose of this hearing will be for Union County to provide information and answer questions regarding the proposed revisions to the following Union County Code of Ordinances:

1. Chapter 60, Short-term Rentals
2. Chapter 10, Article III, Alcoholic Beverages
3. Chapter 18, Article IV, Div.2, Section 18-105

Copies of the proposed revisions are available on the Union County website at www.unioncountyga.gov, in the Union County Commissioner’s Office, and the Union County Clerk of Court’s Office.
